Greetings everyone! I hope everyone had a good weekend.
Was trying to get this out last week, but got busy. I didn't want to just jot down a couple of things and leave at that, so I waited until today.
So, what we are working on...
I'll start off with the Halloween specific content... We had to scrap a couple of ideas due to how they were turining out. Our system was forcing certain aspects to appear kind of "janky", and we felt the quality of trying to go foward with it was not where we wanted it to be. I'll not state specifically what that content was going to be, since we still want to keep it on the table, if we are able to get around some of the issues, at another time.
In the meantime, we are working on a new Halloween quest and a special "encounter". I'll have more on this as we get closer to implementation.
Broken Blade...
There will be a finale for the Broken Blade questline. After holding on to the broken blade for so long, it is only appropriate that you get something good for it.
Elionia is still working on what that will be, and we are certain that it will not include having to do another raid to get it.
Now that Khalimet has fled, the Viceroy's presence ends that storyline... for now.
What has come in the wake of Khalimet's failure, and Razeal's presence, is what is coming next.
Though, we currently have a few decisions to make regarding this, I am not quite ready to "spill-the-beans" about what this is.
To continue a discussion that started a few weeks ago... What underlying information have all of you uncovered throughout the Broken Blade and Khalimet storylines? What do you think that information has hinted at? This actually goes inline with what Khalimet's purpose was in invading Tunaria.
In his book, the Tome of Khalimet (seen in Khalimet Part III), Khalimet rants:
"It is then that I realized my purpose. I was born to exterminate the bolash and their foul and afflicted offspring.
In my fight against the bolash, I have found others like me. They too were blessed as a Lycan.
But I none were as old and experienced as I was.
And though I found that our bloodline can be continued through infection, I believe us to be different than the bolash.
The bolash offspring are abominations of the bolash bloodline.
They have neither the will nor discipline to completely control what they are.
What more can be said about the loyalties and discipline of the bolash? They cannot be trusted!
And as long as the bolash remain, the threat of spreading their disease unto the local inhabitants must be stopped."
What does he mean?
